Baytril® 100 (enrofloxacin) injectible is now FDA-approved for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and the control of BRD in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni and Mycoplasma bovis. The single-dose therapy of Baytril 100 for control is 3.5 mL/cwt. of bodyweight. For use by, or on the order of, a licensed veterinarian, Baytril 100 is administered subcutaneously as a single-injection or as a multiple-day therapy. It’s the first and only fluoroquinolone approved for treatment and control of BRD.
