The recipe entry deadline for the 25th National Beef Cook-Off is March 31. More than $100,000 in prize money is being offered to amateur chefs for their original beef recipes. The judging of 20 national finalists will be in Ft. Worth, TX, on Sept. 27. One of them will claim the $50,000 “Best of Beef” grand prize.

Managed by the American National CattleWomen, the checkoff-funded Cook-Off is part of the beef industry's effort to educate the public on the ease and versatility of cooking with beef. This year's categories are: one-dish meals, grilled beef, handheld kid pleasers and quick & easy beef.
