U.S. Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell
During the opening general session on Wednesday evening, former U.S. Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell recounted his young life of service and experiences as one of the world’s top warriors. The Texas farm kid gave a detailed chronicling of the reconnaissance mission that is the basis of his 2007 chart-topping book entitled “Lone Survivor.”

Trailblazer Award Winners
Honored with BEEF magazine’s 2011 Trailblazer Award was Arizona’s Diablo Trust, which was formed by the Bar T Bar Ranch of Winslow, and the Flying M Ranch of Flagstaff. BEEF Senior Editor Burt Rutherford (right) presented the award to Bob and Judy Prosser of the Bar T Bar, and Mandy Metzger of the Flying M, during the Thursday morning award breakfast. Opening general session Keynote Speaker Marcus Luttrell signs copies of his 2007 #1 New York Times best-selling book, Lone Survivor. Luttrell shared his emotional story of his time as a Navy Seal in the mountainous border of Afghanistan and Pakistan on Operation Red Wing.
