Will You Take Home $100 In VISA Beef Bucks Today?

Today, we’re announcing the champion and reserve champion photographers in the “Winter Wonderland On The Ranch” photo contest, plus three randomly selected voters will also take home prizes!

The past couple of weeks have been busy on BEEF Daily Blog, as we have celebrated the beautiful winter season and the cowboys who work hard, no matter the weather, to tend to the cattle in their care. With a record number of entries in our first contest of 2012, we narrowed it down to 10 finalists, and you helped us select our champions. Without further ado, let’s announce the winners!

Congratulations to Erica Boyer, “Trudging Through The Snow.”

Reserve champion honors go to Carrie Ludwig with “Frosty Wire.”

Honorable mentions go to Kimmel Dalley, Erin Smith and David Schafer. It was a close contest; congratulations to our champions! Our winners will take home $100 in VISA Beef Bucks courtesy of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Auxiliary. As promised, three voters will also receive Beef Bucks. Congratulations to our lucky three: Mark Greenstone, Susan Doverspike and Diana Steinmetz.

You can view the complete photo gallery here.

Our top 10 finalists can be viewed here.

Bonus, check out the video roundup of photos and pass it along to your winter and ranch-loving friends!

With so many of us enjoying mild winters this year, the entries weren’t as snow-covered as in years past. Today, I’m curious, how the weather is in your neck of the woods? Are you getting any snow or rain? Are you concerned about moisture heading into spring? Please, offer us a weather report in the comments section below.

Congratulations to the winners! It's always a good day when you can include more BEEF into the day. :)

We were thankful here in Eastern Oregon to be the recipients of a much needed rainfall over the long weekend.
