NEW Photo Contest: Home Is Where You Hang Your Hat

It’s BEEF Daily photo contest time, and the prizes we have come up with for this one could be sitting atop your head in just a few weeks. We’ve teamed up with Greeley Hat Works for a new photo contest themed, “Home is where you hang your hat.” The prizes for this contest will go hand-in-hand with the theme, as the champion and reserve photographers each will receive a Greeley Hat Works hat, valued at $300 each!

It doesn’t take a professional shutterbug to capture what “home” means to a cattleman. Home is where a family gathers after a long day of work on the ranch. Home is where you run your cattle, ride your horses and tend to the land you call your own. Home is the place you feel the happiest. It could be your pasture, your cattle, your ranch house, or your barn -- whatever home means to you, we want to see it in your best photograph.

You can enter this contest in 3 easy steps:

1. Email me your best photograph at [email protected]. One entry per person please. Hint, if you have multiples you want to share, submit them on behalf of a family member.

2. Include a caption or title to your photograph. We want to hear what “home” means to you.

3. Finally, include your name and mailing address with your submission to be entered to win.

Entries will be accepted until noon on Nov. 5, from which 10 finalists will be selected and announced on Nov. 6. Readers then will have until Nov. 12 to vote for their favorite photo, with the winners to be announced on Nov. 13.

Home is truly where you hang your hat, and all of us at BEEF magazine and Greeley Hat Works can’t wait to see your photo submissions. Good luck, and thanks for your participation!
