Grill A Perfect Steak

Learn from the pros -- tips and tricks for grilling the perfect steak.

Although my family grills year-round, summer is a great time to fire up the grill and throw on a few ribeyes and sirloins to enjoy with fresh watermelon and sweet corn. However, grilling can be intimidating for many consumers, who might shy away from purchasing a high-priced steak for fear of not cooking it properly.

Fox News recently published an article titled, “Best steak grilling tips from the pros.”

“Every meat lover dreams of cutting into a perfectly grilled steak and sharing the experience with friends and family, but they probably don't dream of paying restaurant prices. Instead, save some dough and make your own perfectly grilled steaks at home. With a few tips from the pros, you'll be able to achieve restaurant-quality results without breaking the bank.”

John Schenk, corporate executive chef at Strip House Steakhouse, and Jan Birnbaum, executive chef and co-owner of the critically acclaimed EPIC Roasthouse, offer their seasoned advice to grilling a perfect, juicy, tender steak every time.

Their tips range from choosing the right cut to whipping up a perfect marinade. Check out their best advice here.

Also, be sure to check out this video of Chef Scott Popovic from Certified Angus Beef, who explains the basics of grilling up a perfect steak. Popovic talked to BEEF on the occasion of the grand opening of the CAB Education & Culinary Center last spring. Check out the photo gallery of the festivities here.
