Announces 2010 Scholarship Winners

WHITESBORO, TX – Sept. 1st, 2010 Becky and Ron Thompson, owners of, recently awarded $500 scholarships to four outstanding high school seniors.

“It has been our privilege for the past twelve years to help America’s top livestock producers market their cattle,” said Becky Thompson. “We awarded two $500 scholarships in 2009 and because of the number of excellent applications we received, we have decided to award four scholarships for 2010.”

The scholarships were established because of the commitment the Thompson’s have to the show cattle industry. The scholarships were awarded based on leadership, extra-curricular activities, community service, scholastic achievement, financial need and participation in the show cattle industry. Applicants also submitted an essay on issues facing the cattle industry.

Scholarship winners for 2010 are:

Claire Martin, Curryville,

Laine Martin, Curryville,

Rebecca Winters, Algonquin, IL

Two of these scholarships were awarded to students who have participated in the show cattle industry. The second pair of scholarships were awarded to students who have participated in the show cattle industry and whose family is a current customer of has focused on web site development to promote livestock and ag-related business. was established in 1998 and was the first Nationwide Directory for Show Steers, Club Calves, Show Cattle, and Breeding Cattle and continues to be the "Most Visited" web site of its kind.
