A hands-on and web-based program will help producers, veterinarians, college students and others learn the systems approach to beef cattle production.

The Mid-Plains Beef Practicum session topics include beef production, economics and forage management.

The program begins Sept. 8, 2010 and runs through June 2011. The four hands-on sessions will be held at the Dalbey-Halleck Research Farm near Virginia in southeast Nebraska, and there will be four, web-based, distance-education sessions.
