IVX Animal Health has received FDA approval of its generic Amprolium 9.6% Oral Solution for use as a treatment or prevention of coccidiosis in calves caused by Eimeria bovis and E.zunii. The first generic Amprolium solution to gain approval, it can be used as an oral drench or in drinking water. Amprolium 9.6% Oral Solution is packaged in gallon containers and is available under several private label brand names through IVX distribution partners.

Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. recently received one of the strongest USDA-APHIS label claims available for vaccine efficacy for its Breed-Back^® FP 5 and 10, and Breed-Back^® FP 5HS and 10HS products. The claim assures users that vaccines prevent the development of persistently infected calves by protecting the fetus in the critical first trimester of pregnancy. The vaccine covers bovine viral diarrhea Types 1 and 2.
