One-shot vaccine

      Share

Express® FB 3 VL 5 reproductive vaccine from Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc. shields calves from three major viral components — Lepto and Vibrio, plus prevents calves persistently infected (PI) with BVD. The vaccine provides early protection against IBR and BVD Type 2, and comes with a guarantee that covers the cost of a BVD-PI calf should one be born into the herd. The vaccine meets BQA low-dose guidelines, is administered in 2-ml SubQ doses and is available in 20- and 100-mL vials.

Vaccine delivery options

Newport Labs offers four different formats for its Compass Pinpoint autogenous products: SnapLock, SoliDose, VetPac and BacPac.

The SnapLock system is a closed-delivery vaccination system designed for 120-mL liquid cartridges to eliminate contamination, leaks, product loss and vaccinations mix-ups. SoliDose is a dual-dose implant, lightweight gun with a fully automatic dose advance. VetPac, a closed-system delivery option, consists of a puncture-resistant sachet capable of holding 2,000 mL of product. The VetPac can be hung on the chute or carried in the BacPac (a lightweight neoprene backpack with adjustable shoulder straps).
