Arctic Cat's diesel-fueled ATV is equipped with an in-line 700-twin cylinder, SOHC diesel engine that provides 50% greater fuel mileage over similarly powered conventional ATVs with a peak torque reaching 2,300 rpm. The engine runs efficiently on DF 1, DF 2, DF A Arctic, JP 5, JP 8 and up to B20 Bio Diesel fuels, and features a glow plug pre-heater assist for starting.

The 700 Diesel's first scheduled engine rebuild is suggested at 10,000 hours, amounting to more than 100 years of riding for the average ATV user.

Igenity profile applied

Accelerated Genetics and Select Sires Inc. are providing information from the Merial Igenity^® profile on all their beef sires. The scores are posted on both companies' Web sites.

Using a single DNA sample, the Igenity profile provides information on such economically important traits as tenderness, quality grade, marbling, fat thickness, ribeye area, yield grade, hot carcass weight and coat color, and a diagnostic test for identifying cattle persistently infected with bovine viral diarrhea.

Versatile light

Petersen Brands' Wobble Light is a 3-ft.-tall, 360° self-righting work light that features a counter-weighted base, polycarbonate dome and floating shock system to protect the bulb from jarring and strikes. Its internal ventilation system keeps the unit cool to the touch, and the 27-lb. light can illuminate areas 20-ft. to 110-ft. in diameter. It's available in four models — 175W, 250W or 400W metal halide models, and a 120W florescent model.
