Lew joined Kemin in 1998 as a commercial sales team member. Prior to joining Kemin, he served as a plant controller and then as a buyer for Ralston-Purina Co. In 1968 Lew was called into service by the U.S. Army to serve in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star Award for valor. He returned from Vietnam to work six more years in purchasing and commodity-trading with Ralston-Purina, Missouri Farmers Association, Inc., and Wellens & Co., Inc. In 1975 Lew began a 30-plus year career in sales and marketing in different capacities with Diamond Shamrock Corp, Prince Agri-Products and AL Laboratories, Inc./Alpharma, Inc.
Lew has been an active member of the U.S. agriculture industry for the past 40 years, serving on different industry association committees and boards of directors, including the National Feed Ingredient Association and the American Feed Ingredient Association. In 2007, he was named “Salesman of the Year” by The Poultry Federation. Lew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Emporia State University.
