Today, three lucky winners will take home copies of Jack Sorenson’s “The Overseers.” Congrats to our winners!
We had more than 220 entries -- a record for us -- in our final contest of 2012, which called for a caption of this photo of ranchers feeding their cattle. It was hard to pick just one, so we’ve narrowed it down to three lucky winners, who had catchy captions for the photograph.
Congratulations to our winners: Patrick Whidder, Leroy Getz and Joe Tupper.
“No nutritionist, no scales, no problem.” -- Patrick Whidden
“Sorry girls, we forgot the napkins.” -- Leroy Getz
“Hope you don’t mind eating off the ground; we had to sell the troughs to buy this load of feed.” -- Joe Tupper
Our three lucky winners will take home a limited-edition Western art print by Amarillo, TX-based artist, Jack Sorenson, valued at $100. Enjoy!
And, we’ll be giving away another two copies of the print via a random drawing of all participants. Congratulations to Laurie Johnson and Mary Hines.
By the way, if you haven’t voted in this week’s poll on the beefmagazine.com homepage, we’re asking, “Are you optimistic about 2013?”
With 164 votes in so far, 35% say 2013 will be a lot like 2012. Another 33% feel very optimistic. And, 24% say, “No, I expect it to be worse for me.” The remaining 9% have no idea what 2013 will bring.
What are your expectations for 2013? Any goals for your operation you care to share?
