On April 26, test drive a Ram Truck to raise $20 for the National FFA Organization.
Editor's Note: This blog has been edited due to writer's error. The blog previously mentioned that Dodge was doing the campaign to support FFA, but it is actually Ram Trucks. My apologies for the error. Please, help say thank you to the folks at Ram Trucks and support the FFA by taking a spin in one of their rigs on April 26.
I’m not in the market for a new pickup. Heck, a minivan is probably more appropriate with a baby on the way, but I’m going to test drive a Ram Truck on April 26.
Not only has Ram Trucksmade headlines in the past couple of years for its now famous Super Bowl commercial featuring Paul Harvey’s “So God Made A Farmer,” but the company has offered ongoing support for one of my favorite organizations, FFA.
The Academy of Country Music Awards aired last Sunday, and in between George Strait winning Entertainer of the Year and Hunter Hayes campaigning to fight childhood hunger, Ram Trucksmade the announcement that in addition to the $1 million the company donated to the National FFA Organization last year, they are gearing up with a new campaign to give more to this premier youth organization.

This announcement is very fitting for me this week, as we are busy celebrating my sister Kaley earning a trip to the National FFA Convention next fall for winning in the Nursery Landscape Competition at State FFA Convention yesterday. We’ve got the blue corduroy spirit around our house right now!
If you’re a fan of FFA like I am, here’s how the new campaign will raise money for your favorite FFA members:
Of the campaign, the companysays, “We know the land belongs to the next generation, the Next Crop, and that's what the Next Crop Project is all about. Farms aren't just run by farmers, they're run by farmers and their families. The legacy of hard work and ingenuity on our farms is something we want to thrive and continue. On April 26, when you take a test drive, a $20 donation will be made to the National FFA Organization.”
Even if you’re a loyal Chevy or Ford fan, if you have a participating dealership close to you, I urge you to take a joy ride in a Ram Truck on April 26 and raise some cash for the National FFA Organization.
