I’m still recovering from two weeks of state fair adventures, as I attended both the Minnesota and South Dakota state fairs with my family. We kept busy with cattle shows, 4-H speeches and judging contests, listening to speakers and signing copies of my new children’s book, “Levi’s Lost Calf,” which became available on amazon.com at the end of July. To celebrate the season of state fairs, cattle and kids, I’m giving away five copies of the book in a new photo contest!
Contest details: Email your best kids and cattle photograph from the county or state fair to me at firstname.lastname@example.org by Sept. 15. Ten finalists will be selected and two champions will be awarded copies of the book. Three lucky voters will also be randomly selected to win. Once you've entered, keep checking back, as I will compile a photo gallery of reader-submitted photos.
Prize details: "Levi's Lost Calf" is a real-life cowboy adventure, which takes place during fall roundup on a working cattle ranch. The book features playful animals, cowboy dinners, and country values. With illustrations by Minnesota rancher Michelle Weber, readers experience a cowboy adventure, complete with horses, calves, cows—and a new appreciation for the faith-filled, loving cowboys who raise the food we eat. (Books are valued at $12.95).
