I had the opportunity to interview Carson about his experiences in the MBA and commercial steer contest, along with his goals for his very bright future in the beef cattle industry. I was very impressed with this young man's poise, maturity and knowledge of the industry. Listen to my chat with Carson below for an inspiring, upbeat feature of one of the industry's best and brightest youth leaders. If you have four minutes, check out his speaking abilities on YouTube.
The most important message from yesterday's event was that we all need to share a positive message about the beef cattle industry, each and every day. Whether it' s a quick tweet, blog, email, conversation in the grocery store or in a taxi cab, we each need to get brave, step outside of our comfort zone and share our powerful agriculture story with consumers. Is today the day you will start your work as an advocate for the beef cattle industry?
Today, I will spend the morning coaching the National Beef Ambassadors on social networking and blogging techniques, and then I plan to head to the trade show to hang out in the BEEF booth. Be sure to stop by and say hello. We have some fun features for you to take part in this year at the booth; don't miss out on all the action! Looking forward to a fun, informative convention and the opportunity to meet many of you!
