If you really believe Obama won the debate, you probably also believe the Titanic didn't really sink and is out there still cruising.

Clearly Romney won the debate hands down. He came to the event confident, prepared and articulate, with gameplan in hand.

Obama came unprepared, thinking this would be another photo-op cake walk where he wouldn't have to answer, or do, anything of substance. Just show up. Without a teleprompter, his Hollywood friends, or a swooning audience, he was lost. For the first time in 4 years, he ran into someone who talked to him in a way he is not accustomed to.... Strong, factual, and not star struck....
No eye-candy here, Mr. President ....and yes, Mitt Romney spanked Barrack Obama on live National T.V.

Again, Mitt Romney won it hands down. Clearly..... but, let's see how the next 2 debates go... i don't think we will see another spanking, but I do think we will see more of a Mitt Romney of substance, and a Barrack Obama who should be worried about his job future.....

anyone who is still undecided is not qualified to vote.

For me Mitt Romney came across as a corporate bully at a board meeting. His face was flushed as he trampled the moderator and took over the show. However, BO allowed it to happen and got beat.

The telling sign, again, for me, was the answers about education. The real responsibility of education is in the lap of parents, not teachers. Neither candidate mentioned parents.

I'm not voting for a candidate who gives no solutions other than "Vote for me instead of the other guy." I'm not voting for homecoming king. I'm voting for the U. S. president.

I've had enough of war, WMD, invading countries, "Mission Accomplished," and cowboy government. I'm waiting foir Mitt Romney to don a western hat and getting a snapshot taken with farm animals.

The DJIA was 8020 the day Cheney was wheeled from the White House. Today it's....? Compare today's farm land, grain and livestock prices + the general economy in the Midwest, 2008 vs 2012.. Hanging an "Are you better off now than ..." sign in Sioux County, IA., while speaking to a house of millionaires, makes Romney look like a fool.

If you want to do it yourself, vote Romney
If you want someone to give it to you at others expense, vote BHO

Two best lines I've seen are:

I don't care how Romney spends his money, but I do care how Obama spends mine?

Vote for the mormon, not the moron

It was very obvious in this debate that BHO is only a puppet who can't think well enough to voice his thoughts. Without a teleprompter he was reduced to the level of a flaming IDIOT and we all witnessed it very plainly!

Romney did beat him up and won by decision. I did not even get a clue as to what he might do, he did a good job of beating down the existing policies, but I can do that and do every day So were's the beef ?

Wish everyone was not "anonymous" on here. It gives opportunity for what appears to be three postings from the same gutless, assinine person.
I'm Bob Neese, I'm from Missouri, and without a teleprompter to lean on, it was very clear as to who was articulate, presented enough specifics, was cordial but firm, and showed himself to be the adult in the room, the one with a vision, championing freedom and the Constitution, and actually presented as a leader, who has led before as a real "servant-leader", and who is ready to lead again.
Barack Obama hasn't the first clue about true leadership. A clinical, sociopathic narcissicist is incapable of serving or providing leadership.
At this point, I am not entirely confident this republic will survive. But I am sure it will not with Barack Obama or anyone like him in the driver's seat.
Romney was right when he said to Obama, "You don't just pick winners and losers...you pick the losers."
America picked a loser in 2008. I pray we won't do it again in 2012.

It was a debate people for the most important job in the world.
This election will have an impact on the USA for the next 50 years..... I don't care who hurt whos feelings, or he interupted or cut me off. This country needs someone who is FIRM and Willing to make some tough choices instead of continous handouts for people who dont want to put on their big kid pants and join the REAL WORLD>>

Apparently some of the commenters did't watch the same debate that I saw. Romney was rude, condensending, smug, and very untruthful. Romney's numbers do not add up. He is not forthcoming on how he will add jobs, reduce the deficit, add spending to defence and not cut medicare, social security and medicaid and cut taxes for the rich. This is simply not possible. If he is as smart as he claims, he should know this. The truth is, he will do and say anything to be elected.

You must be another brain washed liberal.. There're so easy to pick out.

You're resorting to name calling which this writer did not do. The word liberal has becoming a meaningless perjorative epithet from thoughtless rude individuals who have neither the wisdom, insight or knowledge to see two sides of an issue or engage in a tete to tete of ideas and facts except to broadcast power words like so much puffed up profanity that portray nothing and are meaningless drivel.

For almost a year, I have had Obama as a shoo in for reelection, and I have been investing on that basis! Mitt Romney was himself in the debate, and he is a nice guy. He was likeable, and he has not seemed so in the media selected images from the campaign, and of course not in the paid negative ads. He now has a shot. I had been comparing Obama to FDR in 1936 and Romney to Goldwater in 1964. Am beginning to think of Harry Truman in 1948!

Romney wasn't rude, and at least he could look at the president when he was talking Obama just looked down or away

Romney won and deserves a fair chance. We need a leaderwho is a real biuseness man and realizes what will happen if we do'nt change our ways. The federal govt. can not provide everything to and for justeverybody. We've got to stop spending like a drunken sailor. This, I feel is our last chance to gget us back on track. EDB

The real BHO was shown that night. He has no clue as to what is going on & doesn't care since he wants us cut down to be even with the 3rd world countries. Anti-colonialism. Have you seen the newest flag with his picture? It has the stripes of our American flag but his picture is where the stars should be. He ought to be impeached for denigrating our flag!!

It is quite apparent everyone knows Romney won. That's why the breaking news of the day is "unemployment falls below 7.8%".

Anonymous

Obama even said himself when he was running for president that if he couldn't cut the deficit in half he would not deserve a second term.

It all boils down to who has a plan and facts. Rommey has no real plan or facts. He is just a high power Communist salesman. Let me tell you what is good for you, no choose which is the American way. Rommey is UN American.

I guess you have the names of the candidates confused/reversed.

Anonymous

You need to look up these big words you are using. You will find after some research that Romney is not a communist but instead supports free market and individualism (the opposite of communist). The debate brought out that of the two Romney has a better understanding of the role of government as defined by the constitution. That is the the opposite of un-American.

Either elected by a narrow margin will preside over the next great depression, BUT, Romney gave me a faint, very faint, glimmer of hope Wed. evening.

Those people who thought Obama won are going to vote for him anyway as the country heads down towards socialism like a flaming Japanese Zero.
I see a correlation between those who either want something for nothing or want the government to fix their past bad decisions or to bail them out of something, to those who vote for Obama. Obama is the "let the government take care of you, after all you did not build your ranch, your farm or your business on your own or from your parents hard work, the government did it.
