Last weekend, Mitt Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee for U.S. president, selected Sen. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as his running mate. This week’s online poll question asks: “ What do you think of Romney’s pick for vice president?”

Have always voted Republican but I cannot trust what a Romney/Ryan ticket would do to Railroad Retirement (which is totally funded by the Railroads and Railroaders)
Romney pull to right will help the far right base but will give the democratics a lot of press, on social issues
For those opposing Romney/Ryan you will be responsible for our country becoming a socialist nation where a majority of the people will depend on the government. Plus ultimate financial bankruptycy & an accelerating decline in moral values. The Obama team represents the end of America as we have know it, it's going to be blood on the hands of anyone who supports these liberal socialist people. The beef business will be no more & everyone will be vegians and extreme radical environmentalists. NOT GOOD! SEND OBAMA BACK TO KENYA HIS REAL HOME & TAKE ROM EMANUEL WITH YOU!!
Typical of ignorance that pervades. You want to put same guys back in charge that sunk us.
The decision has been made what we think of it is moot. The real question is who do you vote for? Even though Romney and Ryan may not be my personal choice, they still win hands down over the alternative.
Obama has done nothing to help himself in this next election. The current administraion has nothing to advertise in their current term. The slander the demecratic party is using toward Romney/Ryan team has no meaning. The current administration can not possibly think that the over flow of debt that they incured has put this wonderfull nation foward. Why did we not question Obama's campain moto of CHANGE. This change has put us as a nation in a bad situation. No good for anybody and any generation.
Ryan has what I call the "Hillary effect": No one is indifferent, you either love him or hate him. Staunch Republicans will vote for him no matter what. Staunch Democrats will vote against him, no matter what. It is the independent thinkers who decide every Presidential election. Every time we have had Congress and the Presidency controlled by the same party, we have seen abuse of power, no matter which party had it. The only change is who is the beneficiary of that power grab. I prefer to see the Senate and House of Representatives controlled by one party and the White House inhabited by the other.
the only way to get this nation out of debt, is get rid of the paper money go back to the gold and silver. Money has to be worth something.
Poor choice for our nation, we need a positive leader with the good of the nation at the top of the agenda.
Finally someone with a plan to get those off their behind and go to work and stop looking to government to take care of them. Its time to stop looking to those of us who do pay taxes and work for what we want. Don't think I work hard to pay your bills.
He actually wants to decrease the deficit and a plan to do it. Honestly, those who want to sit on their butt with a hand out and believe we owe them something--guess what those of us who get up and go to work don't owe you anything. Time to put on your big girl panties and work for what you want.
If Romney is so good with financial matters, why would he select someone who is also supposed to be good with financial matters. Romney must have a one-track mind and its on the wrong track.
If they wanted to find a real solution it would be nice instead of wanting to get ahold of the railroad retirement which is payed by railroaders for railroaders with no government assistant.
If Ryan was not out to take my railroad retirement I would vote for Romney. I pay a higher retirement tax so I will have more money to draw when I retire, but Ryan wants to take it and merge it with social security to help everybody else.
Obama wins!
Republicians (the tea party) wants less government but they want to be in our bedrooms dictating our private lives
if you love your kids and grandkids more than yourself vote for Romney and Ryan. If you are all me first vote for Obama.
love kids and grands
Obama wins!
Obama is a winner AGAIN!
The best team for America .obom
a what has he done but increase are deficits.
The question was is Ryan a good political choice, not whether he would be good for the country.
Apparently, the Democratic party is delighted with the choice. Republicans are delighted with his political philosophy.
great VP pick
Agree strongly with the VP choice! Let's stop entitling growing numbers of welfare recipients, including ridiculous farm subsidies financed off of our children's futures! Send Obama back to Chicago!
Good choice!
"they want to rule the bedroom" what a foolish comment.
First time a veep candidate has been named for good of the country rather than the election !!!
Bye, bye Obama.
Good for the country as a whole-somebody needs to get serious about a 16 Trillion dollar deficite and no annual federal budget which results in spending a trillion dollars each year more than the goverment takes in. How long can that go on???
It forces the democrats to talk about balancing a budget, and saving social security and medicare.
doomed to defeat...they might win if they only wanted to run the country, but they want to rule the bedroom as well...
