Should The U.S. Annually Ring Bells On July 4?

“Let’s ring freedom bells!” was how President John F. Kennedy heralded the ringing of the bells nationwide on Independence Day, July 4, 1963. Carmella LaSpada, a former Kennedy White House staffer, is campaigning for that gesture to become a regular observance each Independence Day, and is calling for a nationwide ringing of bells at 2 p.m. each July 4. This week’s online poll question is: “Should citizens, public buildings and churches ring bells each July 4?”

Absolutely yes! We need to let those in America intent on destroying our way of life know that there are many of us who believe in our Constitution and want to keep our freedoms!

Ring them so loud and long that the rest of the world hears and "feels" them. "Let freedom ring!"
