Working on a prolapse at 2 AM and 0 degrees.
Repairing/thawing water fountains when it's well below zero.
Clearing brush and rolling up old netting/bardwire and then putting up a new fence all of this taking place on uneven ground
endless meetings to try to keep our ranch afloat. There are so many restrictions, regulations and mislead lawsuits against grazing out here in the West. I spend too much time trying to defend and protect what I do and not enough time "doing it". The comment above about the California Water Resources board is so true. Add to that everything else and top it off with the idea of having wolves in California....
I wish someone would introduce these four legged predators into the two legged predator strongholds ( Like DC, SF and Sacramento)

Fixing fence... Especially when the wire is at least 100 years old and digging post holes when it hasn't rained in 100 years!
I was born, raised and have spent my life around cattle and the farm, and to be quite honest, I cannot remember having a least favorite farm chore. I truly love livestock and farm life, so I never thought of it as a job, or as a chore when doing things on it.

Worried the California water Resources board will start making us do grazing plans of where our sheep and cattle are when. Some areas already require this.
I hate fixing equipment that I need to get chores done with
Dealing with a cow that can't birth her calf for some unknown reason.
Loading an animalin a trailer that I have had for years that has never been loaded.

I never hate baling hay. I just thank God if there is hay to bale. I do agree repairing machinery is not a favorite chore.
