We've only had a 6X4 diesel Gator. It has 8400 hours on it and still running. Parts are way to expensive and seats last about a year. Finally found aftermarket at half the price that work. We use it in our cattle operation. I'm not sure I'll replace it with the same brand. Looking now.

Have the old 6 wheel gator. Don't know how I managed before getting it

I have a Honda 350 that I haven't been able to tear up so when I started looking for a side by side this year I went looking for a Honda and got the pioneer. It is a four seater but the back seats fold down in the bed so it isn't a freakishly long machine. I have only had it for a few weeks so haven't been able to put it threw hell yet but we did have to make a 6 hour drive to get it as there were so few left no one closer had one.

Honda - I am hard on this machine, cows horses, sheep and to get around hunting. Always starts, even after sitting in a snow bank. Had to have the seat recovered, dog even likes riding on the front. At 85, and a gal, I will go for Honda!By the way, service is good too, don't need parts.

Use side by side Polaris Ranger every day and are happy with them on the whole. We have had them for a number of years. Kubota we would not buy again, slow, too low to the ground for our rocky, hilly rough country.

John Deere wins walking away. Polaris and Kawasaki can't hold up to the rigors of three amigos and hard everyday use. Kubota is durable enough but doesn't offer much in terms of speed and comfort is out the window. If you ever get a good cruise goin on a Kubota and take your foot off the throttle be prepared to go through the windshield.... John Deere is comfortable, fast, and can take whatever life throws it's way

Just bought a used Kubota RTV1140 and love it. Don't know how I got along without it. More work gets done because of it, and the hydraulic dump bed is handy.

3 Hondas over last 15 years. Use them every day on the farm and do everthing with them. A real work horse. Always start no matter how cold it gets. Low maintenance costs. My next will be a Honda.

My 1995 Honda 300 all wheel drive has never let me down.

Polaris-rides great, starts good in cold weather, bench seat, does not use much fuel.

Need to replace our very used JD gator used all day for checking cows, mineral, fixing fences and hauling bull buyers to view bulls. So your comments are very helpful. Diesel gator great. But seats don't last. And JD parts a rip off.

Been through 7 different atv's and 4 different utv's. We use them "hard." Polaris, Yamaha, and John Deere have all been ok. But, hands down the Honda's have been the best.
They are low maintenance and start every time.

I have had JD gators since 1997 and I use it all the time, I used to have a cat that acted more like a dog and loved riding in them. They are tough and go through mud and I love the dump bed as well.

love my polaris crew, however, very unhappy with the roof that was put on it, the rain puddles and then runs right down on the front and soaks the driver worse than without a roof. good mudder, my husband has gators and they are helpless in mud.

The Polaris has the best ride over rough ground by far. I use my ATV like a quarter horse and currently have a Honda. By the time I can get it into reverse, the animal I am trying to herd is long gone. Honda is more maintenance friendly however.

Need to sort out ATVs and UTVs seperatly. We have JD. A work horse but seating is bad. We need a full 3 bench seat - to narrow. Dust rolls in from front tires a problem!

A Polaris ranger has the largest front seat. 3 big guys can fit. It will be snug but they all have a seat. Has the smoothest ride of them all by far too.

I love the shaft drive, diesel engine and hydrostatic transmission.

We used Kawasaki's for years and then bought a Honda Rancher with Auto shift or electric shift and power steering. It is quiet and comfortable and we really love it.
We put a big rack on the back and loaded the rack too heavy to start and broke our rear frame so be careful not to overload if you put on a big rack.

Polaris leads the pack on this. I raced Yamaha motocross bikes for years but when it comes to a side by side it's Polaris all the way for me!!!

We have had a jd gator for 3 years and it is tough and used often by my wife and myself. Our son's dog waits at the door and cry's if we don't give him a ride.
