Pfizer Animal Health Program Continues to Support AABP and FFA

NEW YORK (July 17, 2009) — Pfizer Animal Health is continuing its commitment to American agriculture through a program that offers veterinarians and animal health suppliers an opportunity to support the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP) and FFA. For eligible purchases of Pfizer Animal Health products, donations will be made to the AABP Foundation-Pfizer Animal Health Scholarship and/or the FFA chapter(s) of a veterinarian or animal health supplier’s choice.

First launched last fall, this program has since generated more than $925,000 in donations supporting FFA and the AABP Foundation-Pfizer Animal Health Scholarship.

The AABP Foundation-Pfizer Animal Health Scholarship helps recruit outstanding students for careers in bovine veterinary medicine. This funding provides American and Canadian veterinary students with the educational opportunities that will prepare them for a future in the cattle industry.

The Pfizer Animal Health program also provides valuable donations to assist FFA chapters with resources needed to develop premier leadership potential, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. This program opens the door for FFA students to engage in discussions with local veterinarians and animal health suppliers about careers in agriculture and encourages relationships that can lead to further chapter support.

The donation program offer is valid on all Pfizer Animal Health purchases, excluding MGA® products, made from July 1 to Sept. 30, 2009. Producers are encouraged to talk to their veterinarian or animal health supplier about the opportunity to help support AABP and FFA in their communities.
