2006 Trailblazer Award
The Trailblazer Award is sponsored by New Holland and presented annually by BEEF magazine editorial staff to an industry individual or group whose industry contributions and farsighted leadership were instrumental in pushing forward significant research, programs or projects that benefited the industry and improved the production and profit environment for U.S. beef producers.
This year's honorees are Bob and Nancy Montross, cattle producers from DeSmet, SD. Bob and Nancy were selected for their efforts as volunteer leaders in promoting and building demand for beef products. Two of the founding members of the South Dakota Beef Bucks program, the Montrosses’ continued and tireless efforts on behalf of promoting beef serve as an example to all producers regarding the important and creative roles the grassroots can play in better serving U.S. consumers while building demand for beef products.
