Drought-Management Info Packets Available
Bud Stolzenburg, University of Nebraska Extension Educator in Valentine, has assembled a packet of materials for use by producers in making drought-related management decisions. Included are drought-info resources on such topics as early weaning, economic impact of decisions, alternative feeds, culling strategies, pasture supplementation, feeding concentrates, etc. A limited number of packets are available by contacting Cherry County Extension at 402-376-1850. Stolzenburg says demand beyond his mailing capability will be handled via a listing of Web sites where the materials can be accessed.
