Ohio’s voter-approved Livestock Care Standards Board has rolled out a new interactive website.

The board's site, ohiolivestockcarestandardsboard.gov, has meeting notices, details on past meetings, along with updates and contact information. Visitors also have a chance to offer direct comments to the board members.

The board was put up for voter approval in the November election at the urging of farm lobbyists in an effort to head off ballot issues from the Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS). HSUS is collecting signatures in the coming months to create standards on animal confinement and euthanasia that the board would have to follow within six years of passing.
