The truck was owned by Egbert Trucking and was reportedly traveling from Lima to Logantown, PA.
Both Eastbound lanes of Interstate-80 (I-80) were closed for more than two hours and several cows were killed after a tractor trailer headed to a packing plant.
It happened just west of U.S. Route 62 just before 4:30 a.m.
According to reports from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jimmy King, 42, of Botkins, was driving the tractor trailer, which was hauling about two dozen cows, east on I-80. King told police the load of cows shifted and caused him to lose control and travel off the left side of the road into the grass median.
King attempted to get back onto the roadway, and the truck flipped onto its side coming to rest across both lanes of traffic.
