Maximizing forage resources and cow-calf profitability are the focal points of a conference series set for this fall. The four, one-day conferences will be held at the following locations:

  • Nov. 19, Bismarck, ND, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Nov. 21, Chadron, NE, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Dec. 3, Moline, IL, 3 to 9 p.m.
  • Dec. 5, St. Joseph, MO, 3 to 9 p.m.

The sessions will feature talks on evaluating production and economic changes within the cow-calf operation, strategies to manage year-round forage supplies, implementation of forage and herd management practices, and profit optimization of these beef systems practices. Besides these presentations, each seminar will also feature breakout sessions highlighting topics of local interest on grazing and cattle management.
