Tractor line complete

The New Holland family of Boomer compact tractors includes three new Class 0.05 sub-compact models and two new, higher horsepower Class IV utility models. New Holland now offers a complete group of 14 Boomer models from 18 to 55 gross engine horsepower.

All models feature new styling and new halogen headlights and corner work lights that offer best-in-class lighting. The entire Boomer line can now be equipped with new, curved boom loaders that are designed specifically for Boomer tractors.

It can be downloaded from their Web site www.farmbiz.com. Check printing can be used on existing checks used by Quicken and other competitive software products. New Tenderness Test

Genetic Solutions LLC announced the availability of a next generation beef tenderness test. GeneSTAR® Tenderness 2 is the first beef cattle DNA test commercially available that combines the results for two separate DNA markers for the same trait into a single test. The new GeneSTAR Tenderness 2 test incorporates an existing test with a recent discovery by scientists at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center which identified a marker for the Calpain 1 gene.

Rodent Control

Meyer Industries developed Rodenator Pro to help eliminate burrowing rodent problems. The system is chemical- and poison-free. The device operates by squeezing a lever that ejects a calibrated mixture of propane and oxygen down the rodents' tunnel systems. A self-contained ignition system allows the user to light the gas, creating an underground shockwave that eliminates the animals.
