Producers interested in improving livestock profitability should attend the Heart of Oklahoma Cattle Conference, Feb. 19, at the Exposition Center in Shawnee.
Conference topics include discussions on various forage system scenarios, factors that influence stocker cattle performance and a mock cattle auction. The auction will serve as the basis for discussion regarding value difference in kinds and types of cattle, and how the differences affect animals' worth to current and future owners.
Early registration is $7 by Feb. 14, and $10 after, to cover lunch and materials. Registration forms are available through Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension and county offices. For more info call 405/273-7683.
