Italy Reports BSE Case
Italy ends two year BSE free status with the report of a new case within its borders.
In a recent article on Reuters, Italy announced its first BSE case in two years, reported an animal health institute on Sept. 27, 2008.
The animal was a 13-year-old beef cow that originated from a dairy farm in the northern region of Lombardy, said an Italian animal health official.
