Alabama

Historic Avg Stocking Rate:  We can comfortably stock 1,000 to 1,200 lbs. of cattle per acre.

Approximate turn-in and turn-out dates:  Cattle can typically be on grazing by December 15th or possibly earlier, but most cattle will have to be off grazing by April 15th.  Some cattle can be stretched to late April or early May.

Historic Avg Gains:  1.75 to 2.5 lbs/day

I also put up approx 1,200 tons of hay which is available for feed during extreme weather.

Historic Avg Gains: Up to 300 head per year; prefer to graze 500-600 lbs. because they are easier on the land. Have fed animals 365 days per year using Mob Grazing technique and portable hotwire. Requires animals of mild temperament or training time in the fenced areas.
