U.S.-Malaysia FTA Negotiations To Begin
The U.S. and Malaysia have announced they will begin negotiating a bilateral free trade agreement. Malaysia is the fourth-largest market in Southeast Asia for U.S. ag. In 2005, Malaysia purchased $390 million worth of U.S. fresh and process fruits and vegetables, wheat, soybeans and other agricultural products. -- P. Scott Shearer, Washington, D.C., correspondent
