Feds Withdraw Over-30-Month Rule
USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has withdrawn from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) its proposed rule to allow imports of cattle and beef from cattle over 30 months (OTM) of age from Canada. The announcement comes from R-CALF USA, which has opposed the OTM rule from its inception by USDA. OMB review was the last stage of the government's rule-making process before actual publication in the Federal Register.
