David Lind Joins Nutrition Physiology Company Leadership Team

Business veteran fills financial, operations management roles in growing microbial technology company

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (June 8, 2009) – Nutrition Physiology Company, LLC (NPC), has named David Lind senior vice president and chief financial officer. Lind also will oversee the company’s human resources and legal activities. He will be based at NPC offices in Overland Park, Kan.

Lind brings more than 20 years of business and financial experience to NPC. Previously, he served as chief financial officer for Ivy Animal Health, Inc, and director of finance/controller for Oceania, Inc., and a division of Hoechst Marion Roussel, Inc. (Sanofi Aventis).

Lind’s expertise includes creating financial and working capital management strategies to aid company growth, nurturing partnerships with investors, working with internal finance departments to foster financial acumen and discipline, and developing quality improvements in human resources. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and a master of management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

NPC is the North American leader in direct-fed microbial products for beef and dairy cattle and continues to expand into other geographies and markets. Based in Guymon, Okla., NPC expanded to include offices in the Kansas City area in early 2009.

In September 2008, NPC partnered with The Halifax Group in a recapitalization. Halifax is a private investment firm that invests alongside owners and managers of leading small-cap companies. Halifax’s equity sponsorship and resources will allow NPC to expand its research and development activities, while supporting efforts to license or acquire new technologies.
