McCain Wallops Obama In Minnesota Farm Country
The Minnesota Farm Bureau Public Policy Team conducted a straw poll for the Presidential race last week at the Farm Bureau tent at Farmfest in Redwood County, MN. The results showed Republican hopeful John McCain with the support of 64% of respondents, with Barack Obama at 36%.
That’s considerably more support for Obama than was indicated in an email survey of BEEF readers conducted in May. That survey of 1,000 beef producers found that 80% of them would support McCain over either Democrats Obama or Hillary Clinton come November, with Clinton out-polling Obama in head-to-head match ups against McCain. See the entire survey from the June issue of BEEF.
