Here's pictures from my husband's farm in southeast MN. We are a small, seedstock Angus operation.-- Jamie Purfeerst

This heifer calf is one of the few commercial calves in the cowherd. Our main market is junior show heifers and Angus seedstock. We also do a small amount of embryo work with recip herds around the area. -- Jamie Purfeerst

Here's an embryo calf out of of Silveiras Style. We have full-sib to her in our show barn this year that looks to become a heck of a cow. -- Jamie Purfeerst

The cows were spending their day on this pasture while we were prepping the other pasture. Since we have limited pasture space, as most of our acres go to row crops, we also keep the cows on some corn most of the summer. -- Jamie Purfeerst

This is one of our donor cows. She is a Lutton daughter and has a great group of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C and Style calves on the ground again this spring. She is bred for a fall calf and we wouldn't be surprised if she was carrying more than one. She flushes extremely well for us and has had natural twins every year. We don't mind ones like her in our herd! -- Jamie Purfeerst
-
Here's one of our Silveiras Style daughters. He's a newer bull from Silveira Bros. in California who has thrown some great, big bodied, maternal daughters for us. -- Jamie Purfeerst

We creep feed our calves all summer and typically wean them early fall. This cow has a late February heifer calf on her side. -- Jamie Purfeerst

Just before turn-out, we received over 7 inches of rain. This is one of our pastures after the rain. We had a lot of fence fixing to do before taking pairs out here! - Amanda Radke

My husband, Tyler, headed back to Minnesota Lake, MN over Memorial Day weekend to picture some calves before they turn them out for pasture. Tyler's family raises Maine Anjou and Angus cattle. This is a Bodacious heifer born in late March.

Although not a pasture photo, this time of year we keep busy delivering bulls to our customers. Here's a line-up of the bulls we have left to load up and take out. When do you turn the bulls out with the cows? - Amanda Radke

There's plenty of grass to go around this summer with all the extra rain we've gotten. Can you identify this grass species? - Amanda Radke

At the end of a warm day, these calves gather around the creep feeder. Do you supplement in the summer months to get better weaning weights? - Amanda Radke

This is where my heart it is...this is a photo of our pasture with our house and barnyard in the background. Tyler and I feel blessed to have found a place so close to the home place. It sure makes working together with my parents in our operation a lot easier. - Amanda Radke
