It is sad that demand due in part to export is up yet global corporation-owned cattle processors control price to essential act as a buffer or filter between actual demand and what should be a fair price to the cattle producer. What can we as cattle producers do? I'd like to hear from anyone interested in developing a social media as a means of communicating to as many US cattle producers as possible. If developed and implemented, this could be a way for producers across the US to put a "hold" on selling fat cattle for even a few days such that demand really hits and more fair prices can hopefully be gained by all cattle producers.
