Ground beef products have definitely been the key factor behind much of the rise in the box beef cutout and provided support for both slaughter cow and finished cattle prices, since more products from the round and chuck are being ground to help fulfill the ground beef demand.

Additionally, the cool weather in much of the Midwest this summer helped corn pollination and no doubt also helped keep the grills going in many areas.
