Meat Market Update | Daily Choice Cutout Sets New Records


Ed Czerwien, USDA Market News reporter in Amarillo, TX, provides us with the latest outlook on boxed beef prices and the weekly cattle trade.

The Daily Choice Cutout for Friday, Jan. 17 was $231.71, up $16.73 from the previous Friday. In fact, the Daily Choice Cutout was setting new records each and every day.

But, the total volume was down, only moving 577 loads compared to the 712 traded during the previous week.
