Twilight Star Taylor Lautner Shapes Up For Movie with Beef

I have a confession to make: I'm a huge Twilight fan. I read all four books in college during my four-day Thanksgiving break weekend, and I will also admit that I camped out early with my sisters to get into the theater and watch the midnight showing of the first two movies. If you haven't read the books or watched the movies, I encourage you to jump on the bandwagon. Whether you're eight or 80, you will love the Twilight saga! So, what does my Twilight obsession have to do with the BEEF Daily blog? Twilight star, Taylor Lautner, who plays "Jacob the wolf," told Oprah that he earned his six-pack abs for his role in the movie by eating lots of beef patties. Hello, positive beef promotion!

Lautner, who has been linked with country music sensation Taylor Swift, is a hot commodity in Hollywood right now, and I don't think we could ask for a better celebrity spokesperson for our industry. He reaches a new generation of consumers, and with his new physique and celebrity status, hordes of teens are hanging on his every word.

On getting in shape for the movie, Lautner told Oprah, "I worked out up to three hours every day, and I ate constantly. I ate a ton of beef patties."
