Where has summer gone? It's hard to believe it's August already. Soon, the long, hot days will be replaced with shorter, cool days. Even worse, if you live in a place like I do with the four seasons, winter, winter, summer and road construction, then summer is soon going to be traded in for ice and snow. On the bright side of things, we have a good solid month of warm summer left, and there is plenty of do before kids head back to school. What projects are you looking forward to accomplishing yet this summer?
Every rancher has a things-to-do list. At our operation, we need to haul manure, clean out the barns, fix fence, work on our records, prepare for weaning and shine up our marketing plan. To kick off the week, I'm curious to know what you are keeping busy with this summer? What grand projects did you aspire to achieve while the days are long and the kids are at home?
