Aside from wanting to get in good running shape, Courtney and I are really inspired to help spread the message about incorporating beef into a healthy lifestyle. Like many before us, the best way to do that is to run and wear a beef shirt. For example, Chris Molinaro runs with a "Team ZIP" jersey to promote beef, and Daren Williams sports a "Beef, It's What's for Dinner" jersey in his triathlons. In addition, beef enthusiasts share their running experiences at a cool blog called Team Zip. Check it out!
If you don't already know, BEEF is now on Twitter, and I will chronicle my progress as race day gets closer. Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
If you aren't on Twitter, you can follow these updates on the right side of the BEEF Daily Blog, or you can get these updates here. In addition to tweeting and blogging about this event, I'm looking for some fresh ideas to get media traction on this event. What are your thoughts? I'm excited to hear your ideas. In the meantime, I better hit the road and get running!
