First of all, I apologize for the late arrival in today's newsletter. It's the final day at the state fair, and we were showing early this morning, so this is my first chance to sit down at a computer and blog. It's been a busy week up at the South Dakota State Fair, and I have plenty of updates for all of you in the upcoming few days that I think you will enjoy. For now, I thought I would wish all of you a very happy Labor Day.
Of course, if you are in the beef cattle industry, that means the job keeps you busy 365 days in the year. So, even if you aren't getting a day off to enjoy, it's still important to recognize and celebrate the hard working, dedicated farmers and ranchers who are committed to producing a safe, wholesome and affordable food source to put at the center of the dinner table. I found a really great video on MSN that I think you should check out. It gives the history of this holiday and remembers the folks that worked hard in our nation's modest beginnings.
Again, thanks to all of you for your hard work and dedication. It's a privilege being able to work with you in this great industry.
