The Comeback Cowboy

RSS

They are calling South Dakota cattle rancher, Neal Wanless, the "Comeback Cowboy." Before winning a cool $232 million in the lottery last week, this 23-year old, small town farmer was running out of luck. He was living with his parents in a trailer that had just been repossessed, and he couldn't pay his taxes. The Wanless ranch is home to cattle, sheep and horses, and is located near Winner, S.D., the nation's seventh-poorest county in 2007, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. It's not everyday that a cowboy wins big, and at a recent press release, Wanless promised to use his money to help the community. It just goes to show that when things look their worst, God finds a way to provide. Here is a feel-good story for your day. Enjoy the video!

"I want to thank the Lord for giving me this opportunity and blessing me with this great fortune," said Wanless. "I will not squander it."
