Celebrate National Hamburger Day on Friday, May 28!

rec_burger_lg.jpg I'm on the road today, headed to Athens, TN for a Hay Day, where I'm a featured speaker. It will be a quick trip as I head back to South Dakota on Friday afternoon, and I'm excited for what the weekend will bring with Memorial Day celebrations and another holiday, National Hamburger Day! I bet you didn't know there was such a day, did you? Celebrate National Hamburger Day on Friday, May 28 and feature our favorite protein in new and exciting ways!

I'm sure many of you will feature beef on the grill during your weekend celebrations, and I challenge you to explore hamburgers in unique and different ways this weekend. Switch up from the traditional American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles, tomatoes and onions with some of these fantastic and fun hamburger recipes. Be sure to share these ideas with your friends, too.

Hamburger with Double Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Vidalia Onion and Horseradish Mustard. Grill master Bobby Flay gives the classic cheeseburger an interesting twist with horseradish mustard and gooey cheese.
