Beef Ambassadors LIVE From National Beef Cook-off!

You're going to want to stay close to your laptop this week! The National Beef Ambassador Team will be doing a live internet broadcast today through Thursday of this week at the 2009 National Beef Cook-off in Sonoma, Calif. 15 home cooks and six professional chefs will be highlighting their best "Sonoma-style" beef recipes at the cookoff, where participants will vie for the "Best of Beef Honors" at the event. Watch the suspense as the action unfolds, envision the sensation of tasty beef and show your support to the National Beef Ambassadors and the National Beef Cook-off. The Cattlemen’s Beef Board comprises cattle producers and importers who direct the national Beef Checkoff Program, with oversight form USDA. The American National CattleWomen, Inc. (ANCW) are a sub-contractor for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA). NCBA is a contractor of Checkoff dollars used for beef promotion and research efforts on behalf of the Beef Board. The National Beef Ambassador Program (NBAP) is a national, competitive youth public speaking program for the beef industry. NBAP promotes the beef industry and development of leadership skills in youth. The program spotlights the positive impact the cattle industry has on our economy and families. Individuals compete on their state level, the winners come to the national competition to vie for cash, scholarships and an opportunity to travel across the nation promoting beef and the beef industry.
