Back to the Grindstone

RSS

After spending a week at the 2009 Cattle Industry Convention in Phoenix, Ariz., it's time to get back to the grindstone. It will be another busy week in Brookings, S.D. trying to make up school work, keep up with this blog and fly out for another trip to the Great Lakes Regional Dairy Conference in Grand Rapids, Mich. Before the hustle and bustle of this busy week really takes off, I wanted to take a moment to thank the many readers and supporters of the BEEF Daily Blog project and the other available online resources at BEEF Magazine.

During the convention, I was able to meet with so many of you, and your kind words, thoughts for improvement and ideas for future topics of discussion were greatly appreciated. I'm so deeply humbled by the many individuals that take time out of their busy days to read this blog and check out the news of the day, and I can't thank all of you enough for your continued support and readership. I'm deeply touched by the friendships that have been formed through this online forum, and I'm looking forward to meeting and connecting with more of you in the future.

Anyway, this week is going to be filled with interviews and conversations I had with many you last week. There was a lot of talk on COOL, the economy, low animal stress handling, the All-American Beef Battalion, the beef checkoff and more. I will be featuring some of these conversations as the week progresses. Stay tuned for these hot topics to hit your inbox soon! Have a great Monday, everyone!
