Nothing says entrepreneur better than an individual or a corporation defying conventional wisdom. While the Madison Avenue types are giving last rites for all things print, someone steps forward and makes a statement to the contrary by, of all things, launching a new print publication. The fact the publication targets a narrow audience makes the move even bolder.

Discussions began more than a year ago about the possibility of starting a new publication targeting beef practitioners. The focus would not be about science or research. After all, other veterinary publications serve that role very well. The intent and focus of the new magazine would be due diligence to provide business-to-business information. The goal would be examining traditional veterinary medicine business models and find forward thinking practitioners trying new things, using new tools, expanding their businesses nontraditionally.

In this inagural issue of BEEF Vet you will find social media insight and tips for your business, insight from leaders in the beef industry and information on how to serve as more than a health resource.
