K-State Establishes Animal ID Center
Animal ID is front of mind for many producers, and in an effort to help cattlemen stay up with the technology, Kansas State University (KSU) has established the Center for Animal Identification.
Its mission, according to Dale Blasi, KSU beef cattle specialist, is to discover, develop and evaluate livestock identification technologies that might have economic value to producers. The center expands the university's Animal Identification Knowledge Laboratory, which Blasi heads.
