There's a wide variety of upgrades and new models coming on board in the all-terrain and utility vehicle markets. Here's a roundup of what to expect in 2007:
Arctic Cat has added side engine panels to most models of its ATVs. The panels reduce engine noise and protect the rider from engine heat. The instrument display on many models has also been upgraded and now provide information from fuel level and trip distance to battery condition and oil pressure.
Additionally, all Arctic Cat ATV’s are now equipped with the newly developed Goodyear Rawhide RS that provides improved traction, durability and ride handling. For more information about specific models visit http://www.arcticcat.com
Yamaha's new Grizzly 700 ATV now offers electric power steering. The 686 cc machine’s power steering, an industry first, adds comfort to driving. As you turn the handlebars, the electric motor kicks in and assists in the turn.
The new ATV also offers many other features. The engine has a new forged piston for reduced weight and added durability. A new aluminum cylinder body with a composite coating reduces weight, increases cooling ability and decreases wear.
The Grizzly 700, weighing only 602 lbs. has the reliable Ultramatic automatic transmission system and the on-command push button 4-wd system. It also has the new Yamaha fuel-injection system known for easier cold starting and no choke. Yamaha has even added bigger, brighter headlights because that is what farmers asked for.
The Grizzly 700 offers the convenience of high- and low-range gear options for times when low-end torque and maximum pulling power are needed. It offers 11.8 inches of ground clearance allowing for deep-water crossing without getting wet. For more information visit http://www.yamahamotor.com or call 800-889-2624.
Bobcat's new 2300 utility vehicle (UV) with RapidLink attachment has 4-wd and 20-hp with the exclusive IntelliTrak drive system. This enables the UV to send power to all four wheels without the operator having to shift gears. The two-passenger UV also has an 800-lb. load capacity in its cargo dump box for hauling cargo.
Its RapidLink attachment system allows the user to switch attachments with ease. It is compatible with five available attachments: bucket, mower, pallet fork, snow blade and whisker push broom. For more information call 866-823-7898 or visit http://www.bobcat.com.
